Protecting the Vulnerable, Empowering the Future
Women and children are often the most affected by poverty, lack of education, and inadequate healthcare in underserved communities like Ubakala, Umuahia South LGA, Abia State, Nigeria. At Project Love In Action, we believe that when women thrive and children are nurtured, communities rise.
Through targeted outreach, education, healthcare, and empowerment programs, we are restoring dignity, creating opportunity, and shaping a healthier, stronger next generation.
Our Mission
To support the physical, emotional, and social well-being of women and children through compassionate care, education, and empowerment initiatives—breaking cycles of poverty and building sustainable futures.
What We Do
👩⚕️ Maternal Health & Support Services
We ensure that mothers and expectant women receive the care they need for safe pregnancies and healthy babies. Our services include:
-
Prenatal check-ups during medical outreaches
-
Distribution of maternity kits (sanitary pads, baby clothes, birth supplies)
-
Education on nutrition, birth preparedness, and newborn care
-
Referrals for high-risk pregnancies to qualified health facilities
Goal: Reduce maternal and infant mortality and promote healthier families.
👧 Child Welfare & Development
We create safe, supportive environments where children can thrive. Our programs focus on:
-
Free medical care and child wellness checks
-
Nutritional support for malnourished children
-
Back-to-school drives providing uniforms, books, and school fees
-
Counseling and emotional support for orphans and vulnerable children
Goal: Protect every child’s right to health, education, and a bright future.
🎓 Girls’ Empowerment & Education
In communities where girls face barriers to staying in school, we:
-
Provide menstrual hygiene kits and education to reduce absenteeism
-
Offer scholarships and school supplies for girls at risk of dropping out
-
Host workshops on self-esteem, leadership, and gender equality
Goal: Empower girls to stay in school and become confident, capable women.
🧺 Support for Widows and Single Mothers
We uplift women who are often left behind through:
-
Food and clothing support for widowed or single-parent households
-
Skills training in tailoring, soap-making, and small trade
-
Seed funding for small businesses and cooperatives
Goal: Equip women to become financially independent and self-sustaining.
🗣️ Gender-Based Violence Awareness & Advocacy
We stand against all forms of abuse by:
-
Raising awareness about domestic violence and child abuse
-
Creating safe spaces for victims to report and seek help
-
Educating communities on women’s rights and protections under the law
Goal: Foster safe, respectful communities where women and children are protected.
Why It Matters
-
In Nigeria, over 40% of women face gender-based inequality in access to healthcare, education, and income
-
1 in 5 children suffer from preventable malnutrition or disease
-
Educated mothers are twice as likely to send their children to school and seek medical care
“When you empower a woman, you uplift a family. When you protect a child, you invest in the future. Together, we are restoring what poverty tried to erase.”
